about

Speakerhoney - 'Infinite Ways' (SQL015)

She graces us from Hilo, Hawaii, letting us experience her life through her music...

"I have always felt transformed by music. I think we all experience music in some essence as having the potential to connect us with something beyond ourselves while simultaneously enabling us to understand our lives and make our purposes seem whole. Music enables us to appreciate the moment and realize what matters. We all feel deeply for something in this world; music has the ability to capture this value and re-create it again and again many times over. This has always seemed so important to me. Not only because it has changed the way I have imagined my life, but also because it allows humanity access into different worlds of being and relating to each other. I have always tended to think philosophically about things. These thoughts and explorations have led me to certain experiences and feelings that I can only reconcile through music. This has driven me to create. Through the creation of original music, I have been able to articulate states of consciousness that in no other way could have been shared. The tracks within my first EP releases, Infinite Ways, were created within this spirit of music as being an enabling force, a medium to articulate transcendental experiences that are otherwise lost. I hope to continue to create music that has the potential to embody what I have found to be valuable in this world and serve as a source of inspiration for others. I have hope that through continuous self-expression, we can all find ourselves more at home and better connected within the world we live in. "
