"After releasing my 12" on Savage Quality last year, I decided that the followup should have at least one track recorded to four-track cassette, much like "Laminar Techno" from the 12" was. After a number of attempts, the track that's now "Runout" eventually emerged. Living up to the title, it's the tail end of a cassette that arguably could have gone on longer. I think this methodology will continue on for further releases. "Triangulation" marks a return to the use of modular synthesis, featuring heavy use of a new DIY sample-playback module (Music Thing Modular's Radio Music) I've long been a fan of sampled radio noise, and while not a radio receiver itself, this module is perfect for live use and jamming, especially when shortwave radio reception is dodgy as heck in a lot of venues... "Eye" is a sort-of dubbed-out companion to an unreleased piece, "4MC", that might eventually see the light of day. "Endless" started as something else, and eventually took on an existence of its own. It's totally not that one track, or that other track, or even the Belgian New Beat homage to that one track."
