"Moon-Glo was a local roller rink here in Kent, Ohio. It was roller skating, music, lights, and a great place to interact with the opposite sex. I remember the first time holding hands with a cute girl for 'couples' and sharing a vanilla Coke, which they made in-house before Coke ever introduced Vanilla Coke. I like the 'All-Skate' suffix as I would like everyone from all walks of life to feel like these tracks and sounds have something that might spark up nostalgia and flood their memory with remembering yester years. From a girlfriend of mine who I sampled on three of the tracks talking about her first bike, a recurring dream she had and also in her younger years recounting days of drinking and dancing with friends."
"Antisocial Butterfly kind of reminds me of these fantastical scenarios I would create with various warring action figures throughout my years growing up. Some of the sketch book concepts were put together when I spent two winters in Southern California / Arizona. I had just gone through a downward spiral of losing a great job and going through a divorce after being married for ten years. Heading to CA / AZ was a complete life reset for me. I had always kept making music over the last 16 years, but now that I was starting over in some ways it gave me the opportunity to step back and really focus on pursuing two of my greatest passions; creating music and art. If life hadn't changed as it did, I may have remained stagnant in doing it really only for myself and a few friends which always enjoyed what I did." - Gene Mantua
