Claus Muzak makes his return to SQL almost two years after his 'V-Series' EP which remains one of our favorite releases to date. The way we interact with the artist is strange and distant, as Claus doesn't say much. He drops off heat to us and lets us portray his music as we see fit.
This short album is a huge dive into a variety of soundscapes, with IDM and Drum & Bass influences throughout. At first it seems like an extremely rough endeavor, but the listener is calmly caressed into his story. The tracks are meandering but not without purpose, as such lush sound design is accompanied by precision drum programming EQ'd for the floor.
What makes this release such an exotic experience is the fact that while it remains so conceptual and deep with meaning, the playability remains intact, which enables the tracks to played and shared among a wide variety of different formats and listeners. We hope you enjoy.
